John Utaka was on target for Sivasspor as they settled for a 1-1 draw against Eskisehirspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Much of the opening period saw Sivasspor in the ascendancy. Moroccan Aatif Chahechouhe drew a save from Ruud Boffin, as did former Nigerian youth international Macauley Chrisantus. The Eskisehirspor ‘keeper was inspired, saving Utaka’s header in the 35th minute.

After an incident-filled first half, the Nigerian opened the scoring a minute into the second half, firing home inside the box. The visitors search for an equaliser led them to turn to midfielder Raheem Lawal.

With time running out and the Sivassor fans already celebrating, Omer Sismanoglu scored the equaliser five minutes into added time to rescue a point.

Ivorian Ibrahim Sissoko was in action all-game long for Eskisehirspor.
