Senegal will face Nigeria in the final of the 2015 African Youth Championship at the Stade Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar on Sunday.

The hosts Senegal qualfied after coming through an entertaining game against West African neighbours Mali on Thursday.

Moussa Kone opened the scoring for Senegal in the first minute of the game after Mali goalkeeper Sory Traore failed to gather a shot which was tapped in by Kone.

The Malians who topped Group B ahead of Ghana to qualify for the semi-finals responded immediately when Alhassane Diallo rifled in a shot from distance to draw The Eagles level.

As both teams surged forward in search of a winner, it was that man Moussa Kone who had the final say as he notched his second of the game. The sharp striker was first at the scene to drive home after Traore again failed to hold Sidy Sarr’s speculative effort.

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria who beat Ghana 2-0 to qualify for the final on Wednesday will now square up against The Young Lions of Teranga on Sunday.

The four semi-finalist Ghana, Nigeria, Mali & Senegal will represent Africa at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup scheduled for New Zealand in May.
