Rahman reflects on Guinea clash
Ghana left-back Abdul Baba Rahman is delighted with his contribution in Ghana’s 3-1 victory over Guinea in Tamale.
The Black Stars headed into the contest under pressure, having failed to beat the National Elephant on neutral ground in Casablanca over the weekend.
Interim boss Maxwell Konadu made changes to his side, however, and reaped the rewards, with Ghana picking up a 3-1 victory.
The triumph was particularly pleasing for Abdul Baba Rahman, a new addition to the side who was playing in his hometown.
“It was really a tough game for us but I thank God we won,” he began, speaking to Goal Ghana.
The defender also discussed his own performance in which he created a goal for Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, “I wanted to go straight to the keeper and have a shot but as I was getting closer to the goal area the two defenders closed up and I saw my two other team-mates at my sides but I think the one on my left was a little bit far so I opted to give to Badu who was near the goal and he scored.”
Rahman concluded: “I am very happy to have given two assists in three games and I feel great.”
