French side FC Metz have completed a double swoop for Tunisia internationals Fakhreddine Ben Youssef and Ferjani Sassi.

Both players were a vital part of CS Sfaxien’s CAF Champions League campaign of 2014, where the Tunisian club were eliminated in the semi-final stage.

CS Sfaxien agreed a €1.2 million deal with Metz for forward Ben Youssef, who has scored 36 goals in the last three seasons for Sfaxien, and has been capped 17 times for the Carthage Eagles. As for Sassi, the club reportedly made a last-ditch attempt to offer him a new contract, but were unable to hold on to the player.

Both players have signed three-and-a-half-year deals with the Ligue 1 outfit, and will join up with their team-mates after the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
