OFFICIAL: Acheampong extends Anderlecht stay
Ghana winger Frank Acheampong has penned a two-year contract extension with Anderlecht.
The Jupiler League club made the announcement on Thursday, a deal which will see the 21-year-old remain with the club till the summer of 2019.
Acheampong first joined the Belgian champions on a six-month loan in January 2013. Following promising displays, Anderlecht made the arrangement permanent at the end of that season.
According to his agent and as reported by Africa Football Shop, the player has been attracting interest from European heavyweights such as Juventus and Barcelona in recent times. This is following Anderlecht’s displays in the Group Stage of the UEFA Champions League, where they finished third behind Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal, with Acheampong catching the eye.
