Nigeria forward Peter Odemwingie is on the verge of recovering from an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.

Odemwingie sustained the injury during Stoke City’s 1-0 away win over Manchester City on 30th August, 2014. He lasted for only 46 minutes before been subbed off for Jonathan Walters.

The former West Bromwich Albion player shared his joy about the good news through a tweet on his official twitter page [@OdemwingieP].

“Big day for me today as I got to the 3 months mark and had my first run on the pitch since the op. Hope our boys make the day even better,” he began.

The 33-year-old is expected to make full recovery from anterior cruciate knee ligament injury in June 2015.

2014 was a mixed year for the veteran forward; he returned to action for the Nigeria national side, and scored at the World Cup, but the knee injury came as a hammer blow to his 2014-15 season.
