Ndong heading to Lorient

CS Sfaxien stalwart Ibrahim Ndong has agreed a deal to join Ligue 1 side Lorient.

The Gabon midfielder, who will be a part of the Panthers’ squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, was instrumental in Sfaxien’s run to the semi-final of the 204 CAF Champions League.

He joined the Tunisian side in 2011 following impressive performances with the Gabon U-23 side. there, he formed a fine partnership in the centre of midfield with Tunisian playmaker Ferjani Sassi.

According to Football365, Lorient will pay a fee of one millon euros, and Sfaxien will get 10 per cent of a future resale. Ndong will sign for four and half years, and will join up with his new team following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
