Mahrez: Winger not for sale
Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez will not be sold under any circumstances according to manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Algeria international has been in fine early seen form, scoring four goals in three games, helping the club to be the Premier League’s early-season form team.
Ranieri was quick to quash speculation about the 24-year-old’s future, with the winger signing a new four-year deal with the club in August.
“We don’t sell him so there is no price,” Ranieri told the Daily Mirror. “We won’t sell him so it’s much better if they (other clubs) don’t ask.”
The Italian is confident he can help Mahrez become a better player during his time with the Foxes, as the club look to secure their Premier League status for another season.
Ranieri added: “I want to improve him in the offensive line. He is improving every day, it’s important for him because he can get better. He’s young and only 24.”
AS Roma are one of the club’s understood to be interested in the Algerian, with Tottenham thought to be close on a deal back in March.
