Mahrez, Schlupp influential for Leicester
Widemen Jeffrey Schlupp and Riyad Mahrez were in excellent form as newly-promoted Leicester City and Burnley drew.
Leicester impressed offensively at home against Burnley, but will be distraught to have come away with just a point. Claret-and-Blue substitute Ross Wallace scored an equaliser in stoppage time to ensure a share of the spoils.
The Foxes have impressed upon their arrival to the top flight and sit in ninth place, ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
Two key weapons in their arsenal have been wide players Riyad Mahrez and Jeffrey Schlupp.
Both internationals were on song against Burnley on Saturday. Schlupp opened the scoring, after a superb delivery from the Algerian, before Mahrez himself scored the second with a close-range header.
While Schlupp, operating on the left, impressed, the North African, on the opposite flank, was the game’s star performer. He attempted four shots and completed three dribbles.
Mahrez performed terrifically in the Championship last season, but he hasn’t looked entirely effective since promotion to the top flight.
