Franco-Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina has refused Gabon’s call-up for the 2015 Cup of Nations.

On Sunday, as reported by Africa Football Shop, Jorge Costa released his list of 23 players to represent the Panthers at the 2015 Cup of Nations.

Among them was Olympique Marseille midfielder Mario Lemina.

However, the 21-year-old, who has made 12 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side so far this term, has refused the invitation.

Lemina, writing on his @LeminaM_13 Twitter account, had the following to say: “Everything which is being spoken are only rumours.

“I am sorry, but there is no agreement between Gabon and myself.

“I will not go to the Afcon.”

Lemina, who has featured for France at youth level, is believed to crave an international career with Didier Deschamps’s Blues.
