Nigeria international Raheem Lawal aims to upstage Galatasaray in Wednesday’s Turkish Cup Final.

The 24-year-old Eskisehirspor midfielder will come up against Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba in the final, alongside the likes of Wesley Sneijder and Felipe Melo. Lawal insists he will relish the opportunity.

“It is a dream come true to reach the final of the Turkish Cup, I am looking forward to winning it at the expense of Galatasaray. This will be my first trophy in Europe and I am dreaming of it.” Lawal told African Football.

But the young Nigerian is confident his side will not be intimidated by a strong Turkish side.

“Sneijder and Melo will play in the midfield, I am not afraid of any of them, I played against them twice this season, I matched them in all aspects, I respect Sneijder and gained a lot playing against him, but nothing has changed, they don’t scare me at all.” said Lawal.

The Eskisehirspor side for the final will also feature Ghana international and AFS Turkish SuperLig Columnist Jerry Akaminko.
