DR Congolese striker Domi Kumbela rescued a point for Karabukspor away at Eskisehirspor in Turkish Super Lig action on Saturday.

With both sides hovering perilously above the drop zone, it was vital that they avoid a loss. However, the home side were a lot more adventurous and deservedly took the lead in the 62nd minute through midfielder Goran Causic.

The lead was shortlived though. Six minutes later, the scores were level again as Kumbela fired home a cross from Valentin Viola.

No more goals in this one then; both sides shared the spoils. Worryingly, Eskisehirspor remain just a place above the relegation zone and are winless in four games now.

Nigeria internationals Raheem Lawal and Joseph Akpala were on opposite sides in this game, and were both substituted, as was Ibrahim Sissoko for Eskisehirspor. Abdou Traore figured from the bench for Karabukspor.
