Ideye visa problems resolved
West Brom record signing Brown Ideye has finally received clearance to play for his new club after the application for his visa came through.
Ideye had hitherto been training on his own, having been unable to travel to England due to hitches in processing his visa.
Ideye expressed his appreciation, saying, “I would like to thank my club officials and the high commission staff for their effort to get it sorted” while speaking with BBC Sport.
He will join up with his new team mates as soon as possible in a bid to prove his fitness to manager Alan Irvine.
Ideye has been a vital part of the Nigerian national team setup for the last two years, but was left out of the Super Eagles’ squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The Midlands club paid a hefty fee, believed to be in the region of £10 million, to land the forward from Ukranian giants Dynamo Kiev.
