Nigeria international Brown Ideye scored a brace against West Ham as West Brom progressed to the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.

West Brom’s record signing put The Baggies ahead after 20 minutes of play at the Hawthorns tapping in from a Craig Dawson cross before James Morrison doubled their lead just before the break.

Ideye was on hand to further extend West Brom’s lead after the break heading home from eight yards with 57 minutes on the clock. Burundi born striker Saido Berahino completed the scoring for The Baggies by adding a fourth.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis was full of praise for Ideye after the game.

“Ideye has done absolutely fantastic. There was a weight on his shoulders and scoring goals takes that weight off your shoulders and he’s blossomed and looks a good player.”

Ideye has now scored four goals in his last three outings for West Brom taking his tally for the season to five.
