Gambian striker Modou Barrow is being chased by Everton, Bolton Wanderers, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday.

West African forward Modou Barrow may be set for a move to England before the transfer window closes. Sky Sports understands that a number of clubs in the Premier League and the football league are interested in the Ostersunds FK striker.

The forward has bagged eight goals in 15 appearances for the side in Sweden this season, and have attracted the interest of a number of sides keen to improve their attacking options. A fee of £1.2 million is likely to be enough to bring the striker to England.

Willie McKay, the player’s agent, and a figure involved in numerous transfers of African players within English football, has spoken about the interest in his client.

“There is a great deal of interest in Modou and that is no surprise as he been the best player in Sweden this season,

“I have spoken with several clubs, including Everton, Bolton, Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday about Modou and they are keen on him.

“He is available for as little as €1.5million and he is also on comparatively low wages so he would be a bargain for someone.”
