Premier League side Crystal Palace have announced the signing of Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor until the end of the season.

The Togo international was released by Tottenham in September and has been without a club since but Alan Pardew has been keen to bring Adebayor to South London as we reported last week.

Adebayor, 31, having previously played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur since arriving in England back in 2006, and has also been at Metz, Monaco and Real Madrid.

The Togo international is the 25th highest scorer in Premier League history with 94 goals to his name and was reportedly close to joining Aston Villa in the summer.

Adebayor has turned out for clubs including Metz, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Tottenham

Crystal Palace have confirmed Adebayor will wear the number 25 shirt at Selhurst Park.
