DONE DEAL: Moses joins Stoke on loan
The Potters have announced the signing of Nigeria international Victor Moses on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho had been considering the options available for the winger in order to avoid a repeat of last season’s unproductive stint with Liverpool.
However, according to the Mail, Mark Hughes’s plans must have pleased the Portuguese after beating a host of other Premier League clubs to sign Moses.
Though the 23-year-old was keen to stay at Chelsea, as reported by Africa Football Shop, especially with his homegrown status, he has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Bridge and will now file out for the Potters this season.
He will wear the no. 13.
“We are delighted to have secured the services of such an exciting young talent in Victor,” Stoke Chief Executive Tony Scholes said on their official website.
“He will certainly add to our attacking options and from talking to him it’s obvious that he’s really excited about the prospect of making an impact in the Premier League with Stoke City,” he added.
