English Championship side Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Mustapha Carayol from Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.

Carayol, 26, spent the end of last season on loan at fellow Championship side Brighton, making four starts and one substitute appearance before siging a two year contract extension at the Riverside in late April 2015.

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell expressed his delight about his latest capture in an interview with the club’s official website.

“Mustapha is a player who has always been a threat when my team has opposed him due his natural ability, his raw pace and trickery. I’m sure he will excite our fans and cause problems for other teams.

“Mustapha is someone who has always been on the list. He went out on loan last year and we’ve kept an eye on his situation. Now was the right time to act and bring him in.

“I think it’s vital in the Championship that you have as much pace as possible in your team – particularly away from home.”

Carayol has also turned out for Torquay United, Lincoln City and Bristol Rovers. He will wear the number 10 shirt at Huddersfield Town.
