Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has signed a four-year deal with Atalanta after the Serie A club acquired 50% of his economic rights from Genoa.

The 6ft 1in striker is co-owned by Italian champions Juventus who weren’t willing to sell their rights to Atalanta.

The Bianconeri, who have just appointed Massimiliano Allegri after the shock resignation of Antonio Conte, believe the 21-year-old has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world.

Boakye-Yiadom who was on a summer break in Ghana on Thursday flew to Bergamo, Italy and agreed personal terms with Atalanta on a four year contract.

The Ghana starlet spent last season on loan wat La Liga side Elche where he contributed seven goals in all competitions to finish as the Spanish side’s top scorer.

Boakye-Yiadom also spent the 2012–2013 on loan at Sassuolo where he bagged 11 goals from 31 appearances.
