Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman has signed a five-year deal with German Bundesliga side Augsburg.

Rahman used to play in the Bundesliga until his former team Greuther Furth was relegated two seasons ago. He would be wearing the number 12 shirt during his stint with Augsburg.

The left-back scored a double and created an assist for Greuther Furth as they defeated Nurnberg 5-1 in a Bundesliga II game some few days ago. This match became his last game for the Cloverleave.

The youngster expressed his joy about the new deal as it gives him the chance to play in the Bundesliga again.

“I am glad that the transfer worked out, because I again get the chance to play in the Bundesliga.” He indicated after signing the new contract.

“I am sure that the FCA is a very big opportunity for me to develop here.”

The 20-year-old leaves SpVgg Greuther Furth after signing for them two years ago from Dreamz FC.
