Nigerian forward Nathan Delfouneso scored his second goal for Blackpool as the Tangerine Army were defeated by Norwich.

Blackpool went into the break against Norwich looking comfortable. Nathan Delfouneso’s second goal of the season had given the home side a 1-0 lead.

However, Jose Riga’s side capitulated in the second half. A Donvervon Daniels own goal levelled things for the Canaries shortly after the break, before finishes from Lewis Grabban and Josh Murphy settled the contest inside the last ten minutes.

Great things were once expected of Delfouneso, who was released by Aston Villa in the summer. Despite being a regular with the England U-21s, he struggled to break into the big time with the Villains, making only 31 Premier League appearances with the Birmingham side.

After a series of loan spells he dropped down to the Championship permanently this summer. However, with Blackpool he finds himself at a team in flux—in ten appearances, the 23-year-old is yet to taste victory and has been on the losing side on eight occasions.
