Former Ghana goalkeeper Abukari Damba has given his opinion on how the Black Stars of Ghana can succeed at the 2015 Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana were place in the group C alongside Algeria, Senegal and South Africa for next year’s AFCON, and the former goalkeeper has told the new Ghana boss Avram Grant that adequate preparation will be key if the Black Stars are to succeed in Equatorial Guinea.

“What I am looking at is preparation and more so the helm of affairs has been taken over by a new manager who will usher in a new regime,” Damba told Citi FM in Accra.

“He needs time to prepare and build a team so preparation will be important.

“We are definitely going to have a change of direction as far as play is concerned because he is now going to map out how he wants his team to play and the players that he will use to aid him achieve his objectives.

“You can assemble as many good players as possible but it is now about how to put your strategy into action,” he concluded.
