Crnjar: Boateng loves Milan
Kevin Prince-Boateng’s agent, Edward Crnjar, has stated it is common knowledge that the Ghana international has a love for AC Milan.
The 28-year-old Schalke forward had been suspended by the Bundesliga club back in May, after a dismal run of form saw the club fail to qualify for this season’s Champions League.
However, his agent, Crnjar says the player still has a contract with the club until January, when a move back to Serie A could be on the cards.
“Until then we can’t do anything. We’re looking to find a solution, so we’ll see, but until January we can’t do anything.” Crnjar told MilanNews.
“Milan? His love for the Rossoneri is common knowledge and clear to everyone, he’s always said he’s a Milan fan.
“That said, it’s a bit of a leap to go from that to saying he could go to train at Milanello.”
Boateng spent the season on loan from Genoa during the 2010/11 season, before joining the Rossoneri on a permanent basis the following campaign, going on to make 48 league appearances over the next two seasons, scoring seven goals.
Crnjar added: “He’s a Schalke player, he’s training with the German club, he’s under contract until June so he’ll have to stay in Germany.
“It’s not true that we’ve terminated his contract, and we’re not going to. We should find a solution in January, but I’ll say it again, until January he’s owned by the German club.”
Boateng joined Schalke in 2013, but his attitude has been questioned by the club and could be set to leave in the winter transfer window.
