Bolasie: Palace stayed alive
DR Congo and Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie hailed his teammates after an impressive victory over high flying Everton which all but guarantees Premier League safety.
The 24-year-old attacker was instrumental as The Eagles triumphed at Goodison Park to move the South Londoners to 11th in the league.
“It was another good result for the team and obviously closer to the safety mark getting 40 points,” he said.
“I think once we got going it was relentless. We knew it was going to be tough, especially when they conceded a goal, the atmosphere changed. We did well to stay alive.
Bolasie is still looking for his first Premier League goal and was denied by the woodwork after rifling an effort from outside the box.
“I hit the post, I was unlucky and set up another goal which I’m happy about,” he said. “I am happy to help the team in some ways.
“The gaffer has turned his attentions straight to West Ham now, it’s a local derby and we want to win that and see where we end up at the end of the season.” said Bolasie.
