Boateng signs Palace extension
19-year-old Hiram Boateng has signed a two-year contract extension with Crystal Palace, following talks with Alan Pardew.
The Ghanaian has been a part of the club since the age of eight and, following a loan spell with Crawley Town in League One at the end of last season, Pardew has renewed his Palace deal.
“We’ve been talking about things since December and it got sorted out last week. ” Boateng told Sky Sports.
“I spoke to (Alan Pardew) quite a bit, I’ve had a few sessions with the first team and he came to watch some of our development games at Tooting and Mitcham.
“He said he liked what he saw and he wants me to kick on and get some more aspects to my game.”
He made his debut for Palace in January 2013 in an FA Cup replay at Stoke, before appearing at the same stage of the competition against West Bromwich Albion in 2014.
