Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has said AC Milan’s position on the Serie A standings makes him sad.

The Rossoneri are struggling to make a meaningful impact in the league this season after a series of poor runs that have left them at the 10th position. The former Milan midfielder pointed out that his exit from the San Siro remains an “open wound” for him.

“Milan for me is still an open wound,” the Schalke attacking midfielder said to Chi. “I watch all the games on TV and it brings me to tears to see their position in the standings.”

He added: “I wrote [new Milan coach Clarence] Seedorf a good luck message and I still hear from my former team-mates.”

The Ghana international still believes Seedorf and his men, especially forward Mario Balotelli can turn things around before the term comes to an end.

“He is so strong that when he eventually takes full awareness of his ability, he will be the best in the world,” Boateng opined.
