Bilic to make Moses feel at home
West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic believes Nigeria international Victor Moses needs somewhere he can call home.
The 24-year-old has entered his third loan spell away from Chelsea, after previously being shipped out to Liverpool and Stoke City in the past two seasons.
Bilic believes Moses has all the quality to make it as a top Premier League player, having played a key role in West Ham’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Monday night.
“He’s a class player,” the Croatian boss told the Daily Star. “He doesn’t have that continuity in one club, which is also very important for you to settle down.
“But let’s say last year he played at Stoke and he was, if not their best, one of their best players so he has definitely more than enough quality to make a difference in the Premier League.”
Moses scored three goals in 19 league appearances for Stoke last season, after being hit by injury during his time at the Britannia stadium. While making 19 league appearances for Liverpool also, the season before, but 13 of those coming from the bench.
Bilic continued: “His first game was really good for us, not only for that fantastic sprint for the goal but also because of his composure, his linking play but also his work rate.
“He’s a well known name here so if people who are going to say he didn’t make it, well he didn’t make it at Chelsea, maybe he didn’t make it at Liverpool, which is sometimes hard if you are not getting that many chances when they are buying £30m players.”
Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan in 2012, making 44 appearances for the Blues to date in all competitions.
