Paris St-Germain have ordered Ivorian right-back Serge Aurier to train with the reserve team for the next month.

Aurier suspended by the club for the past two weeks after insulting Blanc and team-mates on social media app Periscope.

A club statement said: “This Friday 26 February at 16h30, at the headquarters of the club, the player received from the hands of Olivier Letang, assistant sporting director, the notification of a disciplinary suspension of six days, which he has completed in the context of the temporary suspension announced on February 14.

“Moreover, at a time when Paris Saint-Germain must remain focused on major deadlines, the club’s management must protect the first-team squad from any potential distress and has decided to make Serge Aurier available to the club’s team which plays in the CFA [4th division] from Monday 29 February until Sunday March 20th.”

The statement said that at the same time Aurier had proposed to carry out work for the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation and with the club’s youth academy.

Aurier can then rejoin the senior team.

Do you think it’s a fair punishment by PSG?
