Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah is set to return to action for Juventus on Saturday against Inter Milan following his return to full fitness.

The Ghana midfielder returned to training with the Old Lady earlier this week after a five month injury lay-off.

His return to action was confirmed by Juventus boss Allegri in his pre-match press conference in Turin on Friday.

After naming Asamoah in his 21-man squad for Saturday evening’s Derby d’Italia with Inter at the San Siro, Allergri said: “The motivation should be that we are Juventus, so we have to play some great games. And now that I have everyone available, some of the lads who have played less can get some playing time.

“We’ll have [Kwadwo] Asamoah from tomorrow, who needs to get a bit of playing time in his legs, even though he’s not on the Champions League list, but it’s still important to see what condition he’s in.”

With the Coppa Italia final looming, Asamoah will be hoping to come through the game on Saturday unscathed if selected.
