Asamoah clinches Coppa Italia
Ghanaian international Kwadwo Asamoah added the Coppa Italia to his Serie A title as Juventus beat Lazio to keep their dreams of a treble alive.
Asamoah back with the first-team after a long injury lay-off was named among the substitutes as Juventus went in search of their tenth Coppa Italia title.
It wasn’t a great start for The Old Lady though as they fell behind in Rome when Stefan Radu headed Lazio ahead four minutes into the match. However they were soon level when Italian international Giorgio Chiellini finished with a fine volley from an Andrea Pirlo free-kick.
Both sides were unable to find the winner as the game headed into extra-time before substitute Alessandro Matri lashed home to seal the double for Juventus.
Asamoah was an unused substitute as Juventus now turn their attention to securing a historic treble when they take on Barcelona in the Champions League final.
