AFSTZ: West Ham chase Doumbia
West Ham United have held discussions with Roma about a loan deal for Ivorian star Seydou Doumbia reports The Daily Mail.
It is reported that Roma want players out to help finance their move for Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko and are willing to listen to offers for Doumbia.
Doumbia moved to Roma in January after five years at Russian club CSKA Moscow, but has had a stuttering start to life in Rome making only ten appearances and scoring two goals so far.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic wants a striker and is said to be a keen admirer of the Ivorian forward.
Though a loan deal has been discussed, Doumbia is interested in leaving but would prefer a permanent move away from the Serie A side.
Premier League newcomers Watford have shown an interest but that deal is unlikely as Doumbia finds West Ham more appealing according to reports.
