AFSTZ: Sako reopens talks with Baggies
Former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako has reopened talks with West Brom, after lowering his wage demands.
Sako, who became a free agent this summer, had been holding out for a significant pay rise but has agreed to meet West Brom’s terms on a deal.
It looked like the Baggies were to miss out on their long-term target, with the club making an unsuccessful bid for the Mali international back in January.
But now the former Saint Etienne man looks close to joining the club, who are looking to add more width to their squad.
The 27-year-old has been searching for a club since leaving Wolves in the Championship and with less than two weeks until the start of the Premier League season, Sako will be desperate to sort his future soon rather than later.
