West Ham United are set to offer Chelsea £6 million for Nigeria winger Victor Moses before the transfer window closes.

With little time for teams to strengthen their squads before the summer transfer window concludes, the Hammers are ready to take Moses off Chelsea’s hands.

The 24-year-old’s future has been put into further doubt at Stamford Bridge, following the arrival of Pedro from Barcelona.

Meanwhile, West Ham are desperate to add more width to their squad and will offer £4 million short of the Blues asking price.

The Hammers great start with victory at Arsenal on the opening day of the season was followed by  defeats to Leicester and newly-promoted Bournemouth, prompting new boss Slaven Bilic to enter the transfer market.

It was thought earlier in the summer that the Nigerian would return to the Britannia Stadium on a permanent basis with Stoke, whom he enjoyed a successful loan spell with last summer.

However, West Ham now look the favourites to land the winger, who is unlikely to feature much for the reigning Premier League champions this season.
