AC Milan boss to decide Boateng future
AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will decide whether Kevin-Prince Boateng rejoins the club on a permanent basis in January.
The Ghana international has been allowed to train with the Rossoneri since the summer, after ending his contract with Bundesliga outfit Schalke which still had a year to run.
Now the 28-year-old is expected to return to the club in January, but Mihajlovic will have the final say before the move becomes official.
“We’re still missing some small details,” Boateng’s agent, Federico Pastorello, told SportItalia.
“The hardest thing was finding an agreement with Schalke, because Prince had one more year on this contract.
“Milan welcomed him two months ago, giving him the opportunity to train with the team and find his match sharpness.
“He was at Milan before, he has a large tattoo with the Rossoneri Scudetto, so from that point of view Milan have remained in his heart.
“Beyond that, if Boateng signs with Milan it will be solely and exclusively after the ok from Mihajlovic.”
Pastorello doesn’t believe Boateng will be tempted to join another club, as AC Milan are his only option.
“I don’t see other clubs than the Rossoneri, at least in the near future. When we asked if he could train, we asked [Adriano] Galliani and he got permission from the coach [Mihajlovic].” Pastorello added.
