Wolves boss happy with Ikeme
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has praised Carl Ikeme for his performance in a 1-0 home victory against Bolton Wanderers.
Jackett acknowledged that his side were under pressure for most of the second half and said Ikeme was key factor in them keeping a clean sheet.
“We did pretty well in the first half and we also had a great chance at the start of the second half when Scott Golbourne had a header cleared off the line,” Jackett told Sky Sports.
“After that it was all Bolton and my keeper (Ikeme) made two vital saves – one from the penalty spot and another when Liam Feeney was put through on goal.
“When I first came to the club, I put Carl (Ikeme) straight into the side. He has played back up a lot but this is his time now.”
Although Ikeme was born in the West Midlands he is eligible to play for Nigeria.
