Salah intent to reignite career at Fiorentina
After a frustrating stint at Chelsea, Mohamed Salah is keen to make amends at his new club Fiorentina.
The Egyptian joined the Viola from the London club on loan and will play for the Serie A club for the next 18 months.
“I am truly happy to be here,” Salah told Fiorentina’s television channel.
“I really hope this is a step forward in my career. I know that my move to Fiorentina has generated a lot of interest in Egypt and I hope I can do well and help the team succeed.”
At Stamford Bridge, the 22-year-old hardly found playing time under Jose Mourinho, something that sparked his switch to Italy.
During his spell with the Blues, Salah managed two goals in 18 appearances since he joined from Swiss side FC Basel last year.
