It was a good weekend in La Liga for Thomas Partey and Sofiane Feghouli, as both scored to help their respective clubs to victory.

Africa Football Shop rounds up how the continent’s players fared in game week 31 of La Liga.

Ghanaian midfielder Partey hit a superb brace to give Almeria hopes of beating the drop with a timely victory in a 3-0 win over Granada at home. Thievy Bifouma, Ramon Azeez and Jonathan Zongo featured for the hosts, while Allan Nyom lasted the entire duration of the game for Granada but Youssef El-Arabi was replaced in the 55th minute by John Córdoba.

Carlos Kameni, Nordin Amrabat and Arthur Boka had a frustrating time with Malaga as Los Bosqueros threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Atletico Madrid.

Manucho scored Rayo Vallecano’s only goal in a 6-1 hammering at Celta Vigo. Abdoulaye Ba was in action for Rayo. However, Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Fatau was unused by Los Vallecanos.

Stephane M’bia came on as a substitute in the 70th minute for Sevilla, who fought from two goals down to share the spoils with league leaders Barcelona. Sevilla are now just three points behind Valencia as the race to finish in top four for a place in next season’s champions league hots up.

Spanish born Ghanaian Inaki Williams‘ Athletic Bilbao suffered another away defeat against Espayol.
