Sierra Leonean defender Liam Rosenior is keen to secure a new contract extension with Hull City.

Despite losing some influence in the side this season, the former Reading man is keen to meet with Steve Bruce and confirm his future at the club.

Several players are waiting for new deals, however, but Bruce has a lot on his plate at the moment, with the team’s form coming under intense scrutiny.

“When I was a little boy, all I dreamed about was being a professional footballer,” he began, speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, “to come in every day and work hard in training is not hard to me. It can be difficult when not playing and maybe self doubt can creep in.

“It can affect your confidence but I am strong enough to take it on the chin. I have said many times before that my chance will come. And when it does, I am more than confident I can take it.

“You are always frustrated when not in the side but I keep coming back, and I will keep doing that.”
