Oliseh strikes twice for Kuban
Sierra Leone’s Sekou Oliseh was the undoubted star for Kuban Krasnodar on Sunday.
Ibrahima Balde was industrious upfront, while Charles Kabore and Mohamed Rabiu were solid at the base of midfield, but Oliseh stole the show.
The 24-year-old struck twice in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Spartak Moscow in Russian Premier League action. His first came in the 48th minute. Kuban had gone into the break trailing to a Serdar Tasci goal early on, but Oliseh headed home an Anton Sosnin cross to restore parity.
He doubled his tally eight minutes later, putting the hosts ahead after a knockdown by Ivelin Popov.
Swedish international Kim Kallstrom hit a quickfire brace for Spartak inside four minutes to turn the tie on its head, but Tasci cost his side the full three points after he was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box. Popov stepped up and dispatched coolly to tie the game at 3-3.
Oliseh has made nine appearances so far this term for Kuban, scoring four times for The Cossacks.
