Musa happy with Barca brace
Nigerian international Ahmed Musa is happy to have scored a brace in Leicester City’s 4-2 defeat against Spanish Champions Barcelona in the International Champions Cup.
Barcelona led three nil thanks to Munir’s brace and a goal from Suarez but second half substitute, Musa restored the Foxes’ pride with two wonderful goals, however Rafa Mujica came off the bench to seal the win for Barcelona.
The English Champions expensive summer signing intercepted the ball from midfield, speeding past Barca defenders at lightning pace before tucking it away with his left foot.
The rapid and direct Musa then scored again after Ghana winger Jeffrey Schlupp had robbed Barcelona’s left-back, unleashing a rocket into the top corner from just inside the area.
“I felt very happy scoring the two goals but I thought we could have done more.” Musa told Leicester City Television.
“We have to continue working hard to achieve what we know we can.
“In the second half, we were very strong.
“We could have equalized in the second half but then, that’s football,”
“We lost the game but we played very well.
