Liverpool tracking Spurs target Simon
Liverpool are considering a £15 million deal to sign Nigerian Tottenham target Moses Simon from Belgian Pro League side Gent.
The 20-year-old, who had been dubbed the “Nigerian Ronaldo”, has reportedly reignited the interest of the Reds, according to The Metro.
Spurs and Liverpool had been interested in Simon when he was a teenager, but a deal never materialised and instead joined Gent from AS Trencin of Slovakia.
£15 million is understood to be the minimum Gent will consider for the four-time Nigeria international, who scored seven goals for the Belgium outfit last season.
Klopp is prepared for the club to go ahead and sign the player, as Liverpool’s transfer committee look to recruit young talent with potential to flourish in the first team.
