Kaizer Chiefs in 3-0 Triumph
South African giants Kaizer Chiefs secured a 3-0 against Black Africa of Namibia in Johannesburg on Saturday to kick off their CAF Champions League campaign.
Mandla Masango scored the opening goal for the Soweto-based club, with Kingston Nkatha scoring the winning two to seal the Chiefs’ victory. The triumph represents an auspicious start to their continental campaign.
Masango’s opening score came 18 minutes into the game and the visitors never looked like mustering a credible response despite numerous attempts.
The Chiefs now look to be in a good position to qualify for the First Round proper. They will face either Liga Muculmana of Mozambique or CNaPS Sport of Madagascar.
