Jordan scores in Lorient win
Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew was impressive as he netted his first Ligue 1 goal for Lorient in their 4-0 thumping of En Avant Guingamp.
The game, which started slowly, saw both sides trying to be cautious in their attempts-both in defence and attack; as evidenced in a goalless stalemate at hal-ftime.
Benjamin Jeannot opened the scoring for Lorient 13 minutes into the second half before two goals from Valentin Lavigne and a goal from Ayew wrapped up a very scintillating performance and an important win for the hosts.
The Ghana international, 22, joined Lorient this summer from Olympic Marseille on the back of issues regarding playing time and loss of confidence from Marseille’s executives.
