Ibe nears Bolton loan
Liverpool starlet Jordon Ibe is on the verge of a loan deal to Championship side Bolton Wanderers, and a deal could be done today.
The 18-year-old played a huge part in the club’s preseason preparations, but may find first-team opportunities hard to come by.
Liverpool has significantly strengthened over the summer with the acquisitions of Lazar Markovic and Adam Lallana, and Ibe is not a part of Brendan Rodgers’ first team plans this season, according to The Mirror.
This situation could see Bolton pounce, as their manager Dougie Freedman is a huge admirer. Freedman has reportedly set his sights on Ibe, overlooking other options, and will provide the youngster the playing time he needs at his stage of development.
He similarly spent last season on loan at Championship campaigners Birmingham.
Ibe is eligible for Nigeria by parentage.
