Gradel hints at Chelsea move
Max Gradel has hinted that he could join Chelsea in the future, days after signing for Premier League newcomers Bournemouth.
The £7 million signing rejoined the Cherries, after a loan spell with the club back in 2007, from St Etienne on a four-year contract.
However, Ivory Coast interntional Gradel believes if he does well with Eddie Howe’s men in the top flight, he could join the Blues.
Jose Mourinho had used the 27-year-old as an example of the quality in the Premier League and Gradel responded by telling Sky Sports.
“It’s nice to know a big manager like Mourinho said something like this.
“In England you go where you deserve to go. When you’re good enough to go to Chelsea, you go to Chelsea.
“In England they give you opportunities. If I’m doing well and the club here are happy with what they gain, if everybody’s happy, we move on.”
Gradel was impressive in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 17 goals in 23 starts, as St Etienne finished fifth.
