Benin forward Rudy Gestede was on the scoresheet as Blackburn managed to secure a point following a 2-0 deficit against Watford.

The Hornets enjoyed a magnificent first half, opening the scoring through Matej Vydra before doubling their lead through a Daniel Toszer set piece.

Almost immediately after the break, however, the Rovers struck back, Gestede heading home from the middle of the area after a Markus Olsson cross.

It took the home side another half an hour, but they eventually levelled the contest, Ryan Tunnicliffe headed past Heurelho Gomes from close range.

This isn’t the first time that Gestede has scored in a thrilling Blackburn contest, finding the net in a five-goal defeat against Derby County, a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth and a 2-1 away victory against rivals Blackpool.

With five goals in eight games, the West African sits joint fourth in the Championship scoring charts.
