Rudy Gestede was once again on the scoresheet as Blackburn Rovers beat Bournemouth 3-2 at Ewood Park.

Beninois striker Rudy Gestede continued his fine start to the Championship season with the decisive goal in Rovers’ 3-2 victory over Bournemouth.

The hitman scored twice against Blackpool in the club’s second match of the season, as Blackburn won 2-1, and was again on form today.

The striker now has three goals in four Championship matches.

Hotshot Jordan Rhodes opened the scoring on his 100th match for the club, before Grant Hanley doubled the lead after 21 minutes.

Despite a late rally by Eddie Howe’s side—with goals from Brett Pitman and Steve Cook—the visitors were unable to find the equaliser they craved.

South African Tokelo Rantie, who has been included in Shakes Mashaba’s first Bafana Bafana squad, entered the fray as a 66th-minute substitute.
