Drogba linked with Bologna switch
Montreal Impact striker Didier Drogba is being tempted with a three-month loan switch to Serie A’s relegation-threatened Bologna.
Drogba is free to leave the club next month, during the MLS off-season, to play more games and a move to Italy could be on the cards.
The Montreal Impact and Bologna owner, Joey Saputo, is trying to tempt the 37-year-old to Serie A, in hope that the former Ivory Coast international’s experience will help steer them away from the relegation zone.
A third stint at Chelsea has already been ruled out, but it is understood, according to The Mirror, that Drogba is considering returning for a three-month spell in Europe.
The Ivorian has scored 12 goals in as many games in the MLS and Saputo believes the former Chelsea striker can still cut it in one of Europe’s biggest leagues.
