OGC Nice have completed the signing of Malian winger Alassane Plea.

The right-sided star was formed at Olympique Lyonnais and spent last season on loan at Auxerre, where he scored three goals in 16 appearances.

His arrival comes after the departure of Jeremy Pied, who was loaned to En Avant de Guingamp, and Nice obviously see Plea as a like-for-like replacement for the Grenoble native.

21-year-old Plea can also feature in the middle or on the left and has featured for France at every age level from U-18 to U-21.

Nice manager Claude Puel, speaking to the club’s official website, has said that the new addition reminds him of Loic Remy and is looking forward to cultivating the youngster’s versatility.
