City’s Ivorians down Swansea
Wilfried Bony scored on his return to Swansea, while Yaya Toure’s brace helped Manchester City to a 4-2 victory.
Bony has struggled to recreate the goalscoring form he made a name for himself with at the Liberty Stadium, but felt right at home when he scored on 90 minutes.
Toure opened City’s account on 21 minutes with his low shot deflecting past Swans defender Ashley Williams, to score his 50th Premier League goal.
James Milner doubled the lead, before Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bafetimbi Gomes pulled Swansea level.
Toure then collected the ball midway in Swansea’s half, before running towards goal and finding the back of the net with another low finish into the corner.
Swansea were looking good for an equaliser, until former striker Bony stepped up to score, striking the inside of the bar before finally crossing the line.
That one goal doubled his City tally, while it was an emotional return for the Ivory Coast international, just months after his £28 million move to Manchester.
